(A) The town affixes a fee of $50 for a sales permit for any person, group or company to solicit door to door within the town limits.
(B) Solicitors shall obtain a permit from the Clerk-Treasurer at the Town Hall during normal working hours, prior to any soliciting activity. The Clerk-Treasurer shall verify the legitimacy of applicant before issuing the permit. In the case of a company or group, all solicitors’ names must appear on the permit. Each person must be verified as a legitimate company or group representative, by proper identification, or company person not present in the group. A $50 permit will be required for every two representatives. Permits will be good for 30 days after issue date.
