§ 39.01  CLERK OF COURT.
   (A)   Position established; compensation.  The position of Clerk of Court shall be a fill-time position consisting of 40 hours per week at the hourly rate set by the Village Council from time to time, with time and one-half for all overtime and shall provide all amenities afforded other full-time clerical positions in the village.  The salary of the Clerk shall be reviewed each year by the Mayor.
   (B)   Appointment.  The Mayor shall hire the Clerk of Court, and the Clerk shall be under the direct supervision of the Mayor.  The Clerk shall have all employment protection provided full-time village employees by state and federal law.
   (C)   Duties.  The Clerk of Court shall perform all the basic duties of that position as currently determined, such as receiving and recording fines and bonds, and maintaining a court docket.  The Clerk shall attend all court sessions, maintain bank reconciliation, and issue license forfeiture.  The Clerk shall enter all pertinent court information into a computer, and shall perform all other clerical duties presently required, and any new duties that may be created in the future because of changing technology.
