(A) All expenses incurred by the village in providing training for any Fire Department and/or Life Squad member, shall be reimbursed to the village by the individual receiving the training, if that member leaves the Department within 12 months of the training period. Each candidate for training shall sign an agreement to that effect.

(B) The Council may send any of the officers and firefighters of its Fire Department to schools of instruction designed to promote the efficiency of firefighters, and, if authorized in advance, may pay their necessary expenses from the funds used for the maintenance and operation of the Fire Department.
