§ 33.08  UNIFORMS.
   (A)   (1)   Full-time police officers shall be supplied with the following uniforms and equipment upon appointment:
 
3 long sleeve shirts
1 ballistic vest
3 short sleeve shirts
1  mace case w/mace
4 pairs of pants
1 tie and 1 tie bar
1 coat (bomber style)
1 firearm
1 raincoat (reversible)
1 duty holster
1 uniform hat
1 off-duty holster
1 pair of shoes or boots
1 magazine case
 
      (2)   All appropriate uniform insignias and badges will also be supplied.
   (B)   The Village Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to issue a purchase order for the purchase of the uniforms, insignias and badges upon appointment of the police officer candidate by the Mayor and confirmation by the Council.
   (C)   After initial uniform allocation each officer will be responsible for his or her uniforms. A uniform allowance of $400 will be given to each full-time officer each year, payable the second week of January. This will be prorated for any officer that has not completed 12 months of service.  Any uniform replacement necessitated by damage incurred while the officer is performing in the line of duty will be covered by the village.
