§ 31.42  SECRETARY TO CLERK-TREASURER.
   (A)   (1)   The position of Secretary to the Clerk- Treasurer shall be a full-time position consisting of 30 hours per week at a rate per hour as set by Council from time to time. 
      (2)   The Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer will approve any hours in excess of 30 hours per week.

   (B)   The Mayor with the approval of the Council shall hire the Secretary to the Clerk-Treasurer, and the Secretary shall have all employment protection provided village employees by state and federal law. The Secretary to the Clerk-Treasurer shall perform all basic duties of that position as currently determined. The Secretary shall maintain all financial records for the village, maintain bank reconciliation, daily deposits and shall perform all other clerical duties presently required, and any new duties that may be created in the future to completely computerize the office of Clerk-Treasurer.
