§ 76.23  PARKING IN METERED SPACES.
   Whenever during hours of limited parking any vehicle shall be parked in any designated space at which there is located a parking meter, the owner, operator, manager, or driver of the vehicle upon parking such vehicle shall immediately deposit coins of the United States in such parking meter, provided that in the parking of vehicles too large to be confined in a single space, only the meter nearest the hood or front end of the vehicle need be operated.  Thereupon the parking space may be used by such vehicle during the parking period provided for the part of the street in which the parking space is located.  If a vehicle shall remain parked in any such parking space beyond the parking limit fixed for such parking space and the parking meters shall display a signal indicating illegal parking then and in that event, such vehicle shall be considered as parked overtime.
