§ 31.40  VILLAGE SECRETARY.
   The position of Village Secretary is hereby created and shall be assigned the following responsibilities.
   (A)   The Village Secretary shall be Town Hall receptionist and Secretary to the Mayor upon appointment by the Mayor.
      (1)   The Mayor’s Secretary shall fulfill all the clerical and administrative duties required for the efficient operation of that office, and any other clerical duties the Mayor may deem necessary for the ongoing business of the village.
      (2)   The Mayor’s Secretary shall be under the supervision of the Mayor, and shall answer only to the Mayor.
   (B)   The Village Secretary shall also be the administrative assistant to the Clerk-Treasurer of the village and shall fulfill all the duties necessary for the efficient operation of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office.  The administrative assistant to the Clerk-Treasurer shall be under the general supervision of the Clerk- Treasurer.
   (C)   (1)   The Village Secretary shall be paid an amount per hour for a 40 hour week as set by Council from time to time.  The Village Secretary shall be paid overtime for all hours in excess of 40 hours, and shall receive all other benefits afforded full-time clerical employees.

      (2)   The salary of the Village Secretary shall be reviewed annually by the Mayor and Clerk- Treasurer.
