§ 31.20  MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR.
   (A)   Appointment. 
      (1)   There is hereby created the employee position of Maintenance Supervisor, who shall be appointed by the Village Council and shall serve at the continuing pleasure of Village Council, and under the various personnel provisions and ordinances governing the employment practices of the village.
      (2)   In the event the Village Council shall appoint as the Maintenance Supervisor an individual who had prior to appointment worked for the village in another capacity, all prior service time shall be continued for purposes of seniority and benefits.
   (B)   Duties.  The duties of the Maintenance Supervisor shall be to supervise the maintenance and repair of all village property, and to report to the Village Council on the condition of village property from time to time.
   (C)   Compensation.  The Maintenance Supervisor shall be compensated hourly at a rate to be fixed from time to time by the Village Council for 40 hours per week, and shall have such other compensation and benefits as shall be provided to all hourly employees of the village according to the usual employment policies and practices of the village as the same may be established from time to time.

   (D)   Departmental personnel.  The Service Department shall consist of one Foreperson and one assistant. The Mayor may hire any additional employees in this Department after the positions have been created by Council, and with Council approval.
