Whoever shall, within 20 years after the adoption of a plat, erect a building or structure or part thereof within the lines of an adopted platted street, except in accordance with a permit authorized by the Zoning Board of Appeals, shall be fined not to exceed $500. Each day’s continuance of a violation shall be considered as a separate offense.
