(a) No person other than the Village Superintendent or other authorized Village employee shall make any opening or excavation in, or tunnel under, any street, alley or public way of the Village unless a permit to do so shall have been obtained prior to commencement of the work.
(b) A permit fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be charged to cover the cost of supervision, inspection and restoration of any opening, excavation or tunnel. Such fee shall be collected at the time the permit is issued. (Ord. 011-97. Passed 5-12-97.)
