(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 732.32, the Chief of Police is hereby authorized in his discretion, to contribute property, if the property involved is not required to be disposed of pursuant to another section of the ORC, that is unclaimed for ninety (90) days or more to one or more public agencies of his choice, to one or more non-profit organizations no part of the net income of which inures to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual and no substantial part of the activities of which consists of carrying on propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislation; or to one or more organizations satisfying Section 501C(3) or 501C(19) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
(b) The Chief of Police shall develop a policy for the implementation of this section and shall file a copy of the policy with the Fiscal Officer.
