1341.03 COMPOSITION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD.
   The Design Review Board shall consist of at least five members, who shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by Council. Design Review Board members shall be appointed with due regard for those with a vested interest in the Preservation District and those with professional expertise in the fields of architecture, engineering, history, archaeology, urban planning, landscape architecture, art design or other related disciplines. The Design Review Board shall consist of one person with professional expertise from the above named disciplines, a Council member, a member of the Elmore Historical Society, and two members who have a vested interest in the Preservation District. If the Village does not have members from these disciplines, the Village may enter into contracts for technical assistance if necessary. Members shall be appointed to three year terms, except the Council member who shall serve a two year term. For the initial year, two members shall have one-year terms, one member shall have a two- year term, and one member shall have a three year term. A member of the Chamber of Commerce may be appointed to the Board by the Mayor for a two-year term, with confirmation by Council. Members shall serve until their successors have been named or they are re-appointed by the Mayor with confirmation by Council. Members of the Board may be replaced at the discretion of the Mayor with confirmation by Council. A majority of the membership of the Board shall constitute a quorum and any action or decision of the Board shall have the support of such majority of its members. (Ord. 06-05. Passed 1-24-05.)
