1331.03 HEALTH NUISANCES; NOTICE TO ABATE.
   (a)   The time frame for abatement may be extended by periods of thirty days by majority vote of the Village Council if the owner/occupant proves beyond reasonable doubt that a good faith attempt is being made to alleviate all conditions of the nuisance including, but not limited to, a written contract with a construction contractor or contractors, electricians, or the like.

   (b)   Should the Zoning Inspector, Fire Chief (in cases of fire related matters only), and Village Superintendent find that a violation of Section 1331.01 exists and, if the unlawful condition is within the prohibitions of subsections (d), (g) and (h) of Section 1331.01 and the Director of Environmental Health of the Ottawa County Board of Health, concurs in such finding, the Zoning Inspector shall cause photographs of such property showing such unlawful condition to be made and filed with the reports of the officers aforesaid. He shall cause to be served on the person, firm or corporation which, from the property records in Ottawa County, appears to be owner of the property involved, notice to abate such unlawful condition within thirty days thereafter, and that if such unlawful condition is not abated within such time, the same will be abated by the Village at the expense of the owner. A copy of the notice shall be left with the person in charge or possession of such premises, or, if there is no such person or such person cannot be found, such notice shall be posted on the premises.
