§ 34.21 DEPARTMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
   (A)   The Fire Department shall provide a full range of public safety services including fire prevention, public safety education, incident or fire suppression, rescue, basic and advanced emergency medical services, special operations, and other services that may be deemed necessary for public safety and welfare. Services shall be performed by professional firefighters and staff, including state-certified emergency medical technicians and paramedics as appropriate.
   (B)   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      INCIDENT. Any situation where Fire Department staff are call to or engaged in service delivery.
