§ 34.07 INJURING POLICE DOGS.
   (A)   While a police dog is on duty or discharging any lawful police function, it is unlawful to and no person shall:
      (1)   Intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly kill, injure, torment, kick, strike, stone, interfere with, or tamper with the police dog; or
      (2)   Cause or direct any animal to attack or otherwise interfere with the police dog.
   (B)   A police officer may destroy an animal attacking a police dog if no lesser means are reasonably available to prevent injury to the police service dog.
