§ 34.05 DUTIES OF POLICE CHIEF.
   (A)   The Police Chief shall be responsible for, and cause to be prepared and submitted by him or her, itemized annual estimates of expenditures required by the City Manager for capital outlay, salaries, wages, and miscellaneous operating costs; to tabulate the same into a preliminary consolidated budget and submit the same to the City Manager annually on the date specified by the City Manager with his or her recommendations as to any increases, decreases, cancellations, transfers, or changes in any of the items included in the preliminary budget.
   (B)   The Police Chief shall supervise the expenditure of all Departmental purchasing of all supplies, goods, wares, merchandise, equipment, and materials which may be required for the orderly operation of the Department, subject to the approval of the City Manager.
   (C)   The Police Chief shall perform such other duties as may be required of him or her by the City Manager not inconsistent with the laws of the state or the ordinances of the city.
