§ 33.39 CITY COURT; GENERAL FEES.
   (A)   Default fee. The City Court shall assess the defendant a default fee of $40 for each default judgment entered in a civil traffic violation upon failure to appear or failure to pay a civil sanction, unless the default judgment is set aside under Rule 28 of the Rules of Procedure in civil traffic violation cases.
   (B)   Collections. A defendant who defaults in his or her obligation for the payment of monies owed or due to the City Court including, but not limited to, restitution, fines, sanctions, surcharges, assessments, penalties, bonds, costs, and fees, is liable for any fees and charges assessed by a collection agency that is licensed pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 32-1021 et seq., and that is engaged by the City Court to collect and enforce the payment. The collection fees and charges assessed by the collection agency shall be added to the sum or sums due from and chargeable against the defendant.
   (C)   Records search. In all matters involving copies requested of the City Court, the Clerk of the City Court is authorized to charge any research and copy fee as authorized by the Arizona Supreme Court.
   (D)   NSF/insufficient funds. The City Court shall assess each person a service fee of $25 for each dishonored check or bank draft tendered by or on behalf of the person to the City Court.
   (E)    Fee review. The Presiding Judge and city staff shall review the fees in this subchapter every two years beginning from the date of the enactment of this code and make recommendations to the City Council regarding the continuance of fees, amendments thereto, or discontinuation thereof.
