§ 33.20 HEARING OFFICERS.
   The Presiding Judge may appoint one or more hearing officers to preside over civil traffic violation cases when the appointment of the hearing officers is necessary to assure prompt disposition of civil traffic violation cases. Hearing officers may hear and dispose of civil traffic violation cases under supervision of the Presiding Judge. The hearing officers shall either serve without salary or compensation, or be compensated in an amount established by the Presiding Judge on a contractual or hourly basis, shall not be eligible for any benefits as a full-time employee, and shall be appointed for a term as set forth by the Presiding Judge for a term of not more than one year.
