The Council may require each officer of the city to give bond for the due discharge of his or her duties in such sums and with such security as it may direct and approve as determined by resolution. The city shall pay the costs of the bond. Nothing in this section shall preclude the city from obtaining a blanket bond pursuant to the provisions of A.R.S. § 9-302.
