(A) No person shall engage in the business of solicitor or peddler without a license issued by the city displayed on his or her person.
(B) No solicitor or peddler shall refuse, upon demand from an authorized police officer, to exhibit a license.
(C) No person shall solicit or peddle from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., or at any time when a sign has been posted on a building stating “No Solicitors or Peddlers” or words of like effect, except that a licensed solicitor or peddler may call upon the occupant of a residence at other times when he or she has received express prior permission from the occupant to do so.
