(A) (1) The Chief of Police shall be responsible for the issuance of uniform traffic ticket and complaint forms, which are serially numbered.
(2) The Chief of Police shall maintain a record of every book and each citation contained therein issued to individual members of the Police Department and shall require and retain a receipt for every book issued.
(B) Every police officer issuing a traffic ticket and complaint form shall deposit the original or a copy with a court having jurisdiction over the offense.
(C) The City Judge shall keep or cause to be kept a record of every traffic ticket or complaint or other legal form of charge deposited with or presented to the court. The City Judge shall also keep a record of every official action by the court thereon.
