Anyone encroaching upon the City of El Mirage right-of-way, which may include streets or roads, is required to research the locations of all utilities under the surface of the public right-of-away. Storm drain structures are not blue staked as other utilities are; therefore, all contractors shall research the locations of the publicly-owned storm drain structures prior to any digging, drilling, excavating, and the like. Storm drain maps are available through the Public Works Department for a minimal fee.
