This chapter is adopted to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community. Except as allowed by law for personal or private use, or as permitted under the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, the city enacts reasonable regulations and requires compliance with zoning laws for the consumption, cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, processing, sale or distribution, of marijuana or marijuana products in the city. Nothing in this chapter is intended to promote or condone the consumption, cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, processing, sale or distribution of marijuana or marijuana products in violation of any applicable law.
