For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUILDING COMMISSIONER. The officer charged with administration of the Building Department. The Planning Director shall serve as the Building Commissioner.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT. The sub-department of the Department of Planning charged with day-to-day operations overseeing the review of building plans, building inspections, issuance of permits, and all other activities associated with the building process.
BUILDING INSPECTOR. Includes individuals employed by the town that are authorized to represent the Building Department.
CLASS 1 STRUCTURE. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-4.
CLASS 2 STRUCTURE. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-5.
COMMISSION. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-6.
CONSTRUCTION. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-7.
INDUSTRIALIZED BUILDING SYSTEM, Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-14.
MANUFACTURED HOME. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-16.
MOBILE STRUCTURE. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-17.
PERSON. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-18.
STRUCTURE. Both Class 1 and Class 2 structures, unless specifically stated otherwise.
VEHICULAR BRIDGE. Has the meaning ascribed thereto in I.C. 22-12-1-26.
