(A) This chapter shall be known as the Ellettsville Tree Ordinance.
(B) It is the purpose of this chapter to promote and protect the public health, safety and general welfare by providing for the regulation of the planting, maintenance and removal of trees, shrubs and other plants within the town rights-of- way.
(C) This chapter provides the Ellettsville Street Department with full power and authority over all trees, plants and shrubs located within street rights-of-way, parks and public places of the town, and all portions of trees, plants and shrubs located on private property which may constitute a hazard or threat.
