§ 36.157  POLITICAL ACTIVITY.
   (A)   Employees shall not be required to participate, financially or otherwise, in any political campaign or party activity during their working hours. 
   (B)   Town’s equipment shall not be used to generate, copy or reproduce campaign materials.  Town vehicles shall not be used to distribute campaign materials.  Town telephones or facsimile machines or other office equipment shall not be used for campaign purposes.  Except as otherwise specified in division (C), no town facility shall be used for campaign purposes.  Employees are prohibited from using their town position to assist in political campaigns and from using work hours to engage in political activity.
   (C)   The town’s facilities may be used as a polling place or for caucusing by a political party provided it is approved by a resolution passed by the Town Council.
   (D)   No employee subject to the provisions of the Federal Hatch Act may run for partisan political office.  Questions regarding the Federal Hatch Act should be directed to the employee’s supervisor.
