The Department Supervisor shall select the best-suited and best-qualified applicant for each vacancy. Prior to making a job offer, the supervisor shall complete the interview and submit his or her recommendation to the Town Council for approval. The job offer shall be made by letter. All applicants interviewed and all internal applicants shall be notified that the position has been filled. Such notification shall be the responsibility of the hiring department.
