(A) A fee of $5 shall be charged for each copy made of any criminal records check performed by the Town Marshal or his or her deputies.
(B) The Town Clerk-Treasurer shall deposit these fees in the Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund.
(C) Pursuant to I.C. 10-13-3-30, the fee provided for in division (A) above shall not be charged if the request is received from either of the following:
(1) The parent locator service of the Child Support Bureau of the Division of Family and Children:
(2) The Institute for Conviction Information used to establish or update the sex and violent offender registry under I.C. 5-2-12; or
(3) If it relates to the sex and violent offender directory under I.C. 5-2-6 or concerns a person required to register as a sex and violent offender under I.C. 5-2-12.
