In all instances where Town Council members or the Clerk-Treasurer use their own vehicles in town affairs and work other than traveling from their home to their place of work and from their place of work to their home, the person shall be entitled to a mileage allowance in the amount as authorized and approved by the State Board of Accounts. A mileage claim must be filed with the Clerk-Treasurer stating the nature of the business, point of origin, destination, and the beginning and ending odometer reading.
