§ 111.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   PAWNBROKER.  Any person, partnership, association or corporation lending money on the deposit or pledge of personal property, other than choses in action, securities, or printed evidence of indebtedness.
   PLEDGE.  An article or articles deposited with a pawnbroker in the course of his or her business, as defined in the preceding division.
   PLEDGER.  The person who delivers a pledge into the possession of a pawnbroker unless such person disclosed that he or she is or was acting for another; and in such event "pledger" means the disclosed principal.
