§ 36.223  OVERTIME.
   (A)   No overtime will be worked without prior approval of the employee’s supervisor. 
   (B)   Overtime pay will conform to the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. – 207(k).  For purposes of computing overtime, a work period shall consist of 28 days.
   (C)   All hours worked in excess of 165 hours for police during a 28-day work period shall be computed as time and a half.
   (D)   All Police Department employees will be paid at a straight time rate for hours worked in excess of 49 hours and 30 minutes per six-day work schedule, even if the police officer’s total number of hours in a 28 day cycle falls under the 165 hours specified by the Fair Labors Standards Act.
