Verification of employment eligibility. All applicants must cooperate with the town in its compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, as amended. Applicants who refuse to supply the documentation necessary to prove they are American citizens or aliens authorized to work in this country will not be considered for employment. The Clerk-Treasurer shall ensure that the I-9 Form is properly completed and retained as required by law. The Clerk-Treasurer cannot process time sheets for any employee unless the appropriate forms are completed.
