All water service lines located between the meter box and the connection to the main line (corp stop) including the meter box and meter setter shall be installed by or under the direction of the city and be owned and maintained by the city. The costs of installation shall be paid by the applicant for the water service. If any existing water line, meter, or other water service elements are damaged as a result of a contractor excavating or other cause, the city may require the person or entity causing the damage to, at the city's discretion, either pay the cost of repair or to repair such damage.
