Any money received by the chief of police under sections 5-13-2 and 5-13-3 of this chapter shall be retained in his custody for a period of ninety (90) days. All such money which remains unclaimed by its true owner, or the person entitled to possession thereof, for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of its finding shall be deposited by the chief of police with the city clerk for deposit in the general fund.
