2-11-5: PLAN SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Plot plans dimensioned and drawn to a reasonable scale and showing at least the following:
      1.   Property lines, easements, right of way of record, and overhead utilities.
      2.   Existing structures, fences, retaining walls, irregular grades (2 to 1 slope or greater), and other relevant characteristics adjacent to the pool/spa or waterscape area. Whenever the water line of the pool/waterscape is less than five feet (5') from a property line or a structure a detailed cross section will be required showing at least the following:
         a.   Grade to property line/structure.
         b.   Design and location of footings for structure, fence/retaining wall, house, etc.
         c.   Grade of adjacent property.
         d.   Pool wall, raised bond beam, spa, waterfall, etc.
      3.   The proposed pool/spa or waterscape shape and type, dimensioned and located to show setbacks, side yards and clearances from existing structures adjacent to the pool/spa or waterscape area.
      4.   The proposed mechanical equipment pad dimensioned location in relation to setbacks and side yards.
      5.   All diving and deck equipment items if included.
      6.   The proposed deck work configuration showing its anticipated drainage.
   B.   A structural working plan showing at least the following:
      1.   Type Of Construction: The type of construction.
      2.   Dimensions: The pool/spa or waterscape dimensions, including the depth, surface area, and adequate cross sections drawn to scale.
      3.   Correctness Of Plans: Computations, stress diagrams, and other data sufficient to show the correctness of the plans, including the reinforcing steel schedule and detail, if applicable.
      4.   Contractor's Structural Calculations: Contractor's structural calculations (stamped and signed by a properly registered design professional) for pool, spas, spa dam walls, raised bond beams, surcharges within five feet (5') of structures or property lines, waterscape and all other unusual conditions.
Note: The structural calculations are to be used to substantiate the drawings not to replace them; separate detailed drawings are required.
      5.   Drawings: Detailed working drawings of the items listed in subsection B4 of this section, which shall be stamped and signed by the design professional of record and show:
         a.   Plan view.
         b.   Cross sections.
         c.   Reinforcing steel size.
         d.   Reinforcing steel spacing.
         e.   Thickness of walls.
      6.   International Code Council Evaluation Service: Premanufactured pools or spas must include copies of the applicable International Code Council evaluation services report.
   C.   A mechanical plan showing at least the following:
      1.   The volume, system flow rate in gallons per minute (GPMs) and turnover in hours (see section 2-11-8 of this chapter).
      2.   The type and size of filtration system and the means of waste disposal.
      3.   The type and size of the pool heater, including the method of venting and provisions for combustion air, if applicable.
      4.   A pool piping schedule listing the types of materials and size of materials being used, and showing the location of the main outlets, surface skimmers, and inlets.
      5.   The means of adding make up water.
      6.   The size, length, material and routing of the gas line from source to heater, if applicable.
      7.   All underground installation of plumbing lines to include water supply, drain, vacuum and circulating lines and gas piping systems shall be installed on a minimum three inch (3") base with four inch (4") cover of clean sand.
   D.   An electrical plan showing at least the following:
      1.   The size and location of the existing electrical service.
Note: An electrical load calculation will be required if the size of the main electrical service is less than two hundred (200) amp or two (2) or more pumps are installed.
      2.   Indicate the type and size of conduit and size of conductors.
Note: For plans provided by a contractor: If a contractor chooses to draw his own plans, in a prominent location, on the front sheet of each principal's plans, the contractor needs to properly sign taking responsibility for the design. Each signature must be an original, copies will not be accepted. Plans may be copied, but the signature still needs to be an original. The following information is required to be placed on the front sheet for each principal of each set of plans:
   A.   The contractor company name.
   B.   State contractor number.
   C.   State license classification held.
   D.   State license limit.
   E.   The name of person who prepared the drawings.
   F.   Original signature of person who prepared the drawings.
The primary contractor may sign the cover/front sheet for the entire set of plans. This does not include the site plan sheet; this sheet would need to be signed separately. The electrical, mechanical and plumbing contractors need to sign the first sheet of the sections he/she drew.
Note: For plans prepared by an owner/builder: If an owner/builder draws the plans, the plans shall be so identified with the following information on the site plan and front sheet of each set of plans:
   A.   Printed name of owner who prepared drawings.
   B.   Original signature of owner who prepared drawings.
   C.   Statement "owner/builder" underneath signature. (Ord. 696, 5-27-2008; amd. Ord. 721, 2-8-2011)
