12-4-2: PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Nationally at urban/rural interfaces, nuisance suits have disrupted traditional ranch and farm operations and/or have suppressed investments in farm improvements. Some nuisance suits have prevailed even though the ranch/farm business had been established prior to the encroaching nonagricultural activities and even if the rancher/farmer had followed good, generally accepted agricultural practices. Lands lost from long standing agricultural uses erode the viability of the county's agricultural industry, decrease the general food supply and diminish the overall community economic diversity and cultural heritage.
