Any person who commits any act in violation of the provisions of this Chapter, or fails to do any act required to be done pursuant to the provisions of this Chapter, is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), imprisonment in the County jail for a period of not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
