2-1C-1: TOWN ADVISORY BOARD CREATED:
   (A)   The Town Advisory Board shall have the powers and duties and require for membership the qualifications described in chapter 269, of Nevada Revised Statutes.
   (B)   The number of members of the Advisory Board of said unincorporated Town is five (5).
   (C)   Each member of the Advisory Board shall be a resident and a qualified elector in the Town of Jackpot. (Ord. 1982-K, 9-8-82, eff. 10-1-82)
   (D)   The members of the Advisory Board shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners. (Ord. 1982-K, 9-8-82, eff. 10-1-82; amd. Ord. 1984 H, 9-13-84, eff. 10-1-84)
   (E)   The terms of office of the Town Advisory Board members shall be two (2) years. The terms shall expire on the first Monday in January of each odd numbered year. If a vacancy occurs in the membership of the Town Advisory Board, due to removal by the Board of County Commissioners, resignation of a member, death of a member, or other cause, the Board of County Commissioners shall appoint a qualified resident of the Town to fill the vacancy and become a regular member of the Town Advisory Board for the unexpired term.    (F)   The Advisory Board shall assist the Board of County Commissioners in governing the Town by acting as liaison between the residents of the Town and the Board and by keeping the Board advised as to all matters of interest to the Town and the residents thereof; but, the Advisory Board shall not expend or contract any Town funds for any purposes.
   (G)   The members of the Advisory Board shall serve without compensation. (Ord. 1982-K, 9-8-82, eff. 10-1-82)
   (H)   Should the population of the Town of Jackpot exceed one thousand (1,000) persons, then, in that event, members of the Town Advisory Board shall not be elected officials or elected members of any other governmental entity or body, or any public or quasi-public corporation organized under the laws of this State, including, without limitation, counties, cities, unincorporated towns, school districts, hospital districts, general improvement districts and other special districts.
