(A) Any person convicted of a misdemeanor as described in the sections of this chapter, shall be subject to punishment of imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed six (6) months or a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by both such fine and imprisonment.
(B) In lieu of all or part of the punishment which may be imposed pursuant to subsection (A) of this section, if the convicted person agrees, he may be sentenced to perform a fixed period of work for the benefit of the community under the conditions prescribed in Nevada Revised Statutes 176.087, and not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) hours of such work for conviction of a misdemeanor.
