7-1-6: PROSTITUTION:
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to establish, maintain or operate a house of ill fame or repute or any other business employing any female for the purpose of prostitution within the unincorporated area of the county.
   (B)   Any person violating the terms and provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to punishment of imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding six (6) months or a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by both such fine and imprisonment.
   (C)   Whenever a person has been charged with a misdemeanor as hereinabove set forth, the county manager shall forthwith issue a written order to the owner, occupant, manager or person in charge of such aforesaid business or premises, requiring such person to appear before the board of county commissioners within not less than five (5) days from date of service of such written notice upon said person to then and there show cause why the said establishment or premises should not be closed as being a house of ill fame or repute or any other business employing a female for the purpose of prostitution.
   (D)   Service shall be made in person upon the owner, occupant, manager or person in charge of the establishment or premises by the sheriff or a duly authorized deputy of his office.
   (E)   If, after the aforesaid hearing on the matter at which the person so cited, together with legal counsel if desired, may be present, the said board of county commissioners shall determine from the evidence adduced that a house of ill fame or repute or any other business employing a female for the purpose of prostitution does in fact exist, such activity shall be immediately enjoined and abated and, by order of said board, the establishment or premises shall be closed by the sheriff.
   (F)   The words "unincorporated area", in the context of this section, shall not include those areas of Elko County that are incorporated pursuant to the laws of the state: the cities of Elko, Carlin and Wells. All other areas of the county, including unincorporated cities and towns shall be deemed a part of the unincorporated area of Elko County, Nevada. (Ord. 1971-G, 10-22-1971; amd.
