7-1-5: FIREWORKS; DISCHARGE, SALE OF:
   (A)   Discharge Prohibited:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to wilfully handle or discharge, explode or cause to be discharged or exploded any firecrackers, roman candles, skyrockets or other fireworks, excepting specifically herefrom the use of sparklers and fusees at any place within the boundaries of the county.
      2.   Public displays by organized groups and associations, having firefighting equipment available at the time of the display, are hereby excepted from the provisions of this section.
      3.   Any person violating any of the provisions of this subsection shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be punished with a fine of not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment not to exceed three (3) months, in the county jail or by such fine and imprisonment.    (B)   Sale Prohibited:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, offer for sale, exchange or barter, or give away any fireworks, firecrackers, Roman candles, sky rockets or any and all pyrotechnical displays of any name or nature, except fusees and sparklers.
      2.   Any person or persons violating the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished accordingly. (Ord. 1965-C, 6-17-1965)
