(A) Intent: The Fish and Game Critical Areas or FG Districts are established to present recognition of designated areas of wildlife habitat that provides notice to prospective developers and land owners that special planning considerations are required in such areas. The established FG Districts are in cooperation with the Department of Fish and Game.
(B) Permitted Uses: All uses permitted in other districts designated in this Zoning Ordinance shall be permitted in the FG District provided that the developer may first be required to obtain a use permit from the Planning Commission for the proposed use. The Elko County Building Inspector, Planning Advisor and County Manager may request such a use permit when, in their judgment, the proposed use and/or improvements are sufficient to constitute a threat to a critical area.
The permit application shall include Department of Fish and Game recommendations regarding impact of the proposed land use plus any other evidence determined relative to the proposed land use.
