6-16-8: REVOCATION OR SUSPENSION OF LICENSE:
   (A)   Events Causing Revocation or Suspension: All business licenses may be revoked if one or more of the following occurs:
      1.   The Licensee fails to pay the tax required under the provision of this chapter.
      2.   The Licensee fails to maintain a Nevada State business license.
      3.   It is discovered at any time that the Licensee made false or misleading statements in the application or during the licensing hearing.
   (B)   A revocation or suspension of a business license shall take effect ten working days after the Notice of Revocation or Suspension has been provided to Licensee.
   (C)   Revocation procedure: If the board or the Sheriff revokes or suspends the business license under these provisions, the Licensee shall be provided a notice of the action:
      1.   The Notice of Revocation or Suspension shall contain the following:
         a.   The reason for the revocation or suspension
         b.   Notice that the license will expire within ten days of receipt of the Notice, unless a hearing is requested; and
         c.   The manner in which a hearing before the Board may be requested.
      2.   The Notice shall be deemed delivered when physically hand-delivered to the Licensee or an officer or board member of the Licensee, or on the date the Notice was deposited with the U.S. Postal Service and mailed by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the address listed on the license.
   (D)   Hearing: If a Licensee request a hearing before the board, the License shall not be suspended until ten days after the hearing is complete. A Licensee may request a hearing under this provision by contacting the Sheriff. (Ord. 2023-10, 8-2-2023)
