No person shall hunt for, take, kill, wound or shoot at wild animals or wild birds by any means, including, but not limited to, firearms, bow and arrow, slingshot, BB gun, pellet gun and darts within the corporate limits of the city or the city police jurisdiction. However, it shall be lawful for a resident, landowner, or tenant to trap rodents or other animals which pose a serious health, sanitation or nuisance problem on the premises which such resident, landowner or tenant, owns, manages or resides.
