§ 37.08 ENFORCEMENT AND COLLECTION OF FINES, COSTS AND FEES.
   (A)   Subject to the provisions of §§ 37.25 through 37.32, upon failure to pay any fine or costs adjudged against him or her, a defendant may be confined to the city or county jail until such fine and costs are paid, but not exceeding 30 days.
   (B)   In addition to the power of imposing imprisonment for nonpayment of fines as above set forth, the Municipal Court Judge shall have the same authority and power in collection of fines, fees and costs as are given to a Magistrate under the laws of the state.
