No person shall exercise any power or perform any duty as Municipal Court Judge until he or she has qualified for such office by taking the oath of office and by giving the bond required by W.Va. Code § 8-10-1, and by giving such other faithful performance and true accounting bond as may be required by the Council under which he or she shall be responsible for all city funds coming into his or her hands by virtue of his or her office.
