All connections to the water system shall be made by authorized employees of the town in accordance with specification for those connections that may be adopted by the town from time to time. If authorized by the Board of Commissioners, connections may be made by plumbers licensed to perform plumbing work in this state, and if required by the town, licensed to perform plumbing work by the town. Any water connections made by an authorized, licensed plumber shall be inspected by the Superintendent of Public Works after the work has been completed and prior to the time the connection is covered.
