(A) Hangars.
(1) Storage hangars (“T” Type) – 4 units, a minimum of 1,100 square feet each;
(2) Storage hangars (conventional) – minimum 2,400 square feet; and
(3) Maintenance hangars – minimum 2,400 square feet.
(B) Office space. Sufficient to meet all national, state and local building codes for the numbers of persons using and occupying the structure.
(C) Floors. Concrete capable of supporting design load for largest aircraft expected to use facility.
(D) Doors. Self-contained and in accordance with national, state and local building codes.
(E) Plans. All construction plans must be approved by the town, Surry County and the State Division of Aviation prior to construction.
(F) Buildings. All buildings will be of metal, brick or masonry construction and fire-proofed in accordance with national, state and local codes, and generally match the architectural specifications of the town, if any. See the Elkin Municipal Airport Hangar Construction Standards, current edition, for specific building and site requirements related to hangar (conventional and T-hangar) construction.

All services shall be provided on a fair, equal and not unjustly discriminatory basis to all users of the airport. The prices charged for each unit of service shall be fair, reasonable and not unjustly discriminatory; provided that the operator may be allowed to make reasonable and nondiscriminatory discounts, rebates or other similar price reductions to volume purchasers.

All operators shall provide services and manage their operations in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Pub. L. No. 88-352), as amended, being 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d - 2000d-7. Accordingly, no person shall be denied equal services on the grounds of race, age, sex, color, national origin or ability.
