For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUILDING COMMISSIONER. The County Building Commissioner and his or her duly authorized representatives. Duly authorized representatives shall include all employees holding positions identified within the budget classifications for the Planning Division and the Code Enforcement Division of the annual budget as approved and as amended by the County Council from time to time.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT. The County Building Department as re-established and confirmed by §§ 151.01 through 151.11.
COMMISSIONERS. The county executive of the county.
COUNTY. Elkhart County, Indiana.
SUBSTANTIAL PROPERTY INTEREST. The definition as set forth in I.C. 36-7-9-2, as amended or replaced from time to time, which is hereby incorporated by reference and made a part of this subchapter.
