§ 133.16 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DEADLY WEAPON.
      (1)   A loaded or unloaded firearm (as defined in I.C. 35-47-1-5);
      (2)   A weapon, device, taser (as defined in I.C. 35-47-8-3) or electronic stun weapons (as defined in I.C. 35-47-8-1); or
      (3)   Any equipment, device, substance or other material that in the manner it is used, or could ordinarily be used, or is threatened to be used, is readily capable of causing serious bodily injury to a person or individual, to include the person or individual possessing the deadly weapon.
   INDIVIDUAL. A human being of any age or position.
   LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. A person or individual elected to, appointed to, commissioned to or employed to a police, prosecutorial or judicial position serving any municipality, county, state, federal or other unit of government within or forming a part of the United States of America.
